About us :

The Sudanese Environment Conservation Society Kosti Branch - (SECS - K B ) - was established in 1997 as branch of SECS- HQ which was established in 1975, to deal with environmental problems at the local Khartoum and national level . SECS works towards environmental rehabilitation, Sound rational utilization of natural resources and elimination of harmful environmental violation and malpractice.
SECS endeavors will target all population segments with focus on decisions ? makers, affected groups of the poor women and men, children, displaced, homeless and victim of war and conflicts . SECS intend to use and employ all adequate and appropriate to disseminate information, raise awareness , mobilization poplar participation for management of natural resources and empowerment of local communities. In a nutshell, SECS strives to become a facilitator of an acknowledged popular social environmental movement .

It intends to work towards environmental rehabilitation and sustainable development to make Sudan a better place to live in . For this generation and the coming generation . SECS is committed to use voluntary work, wide participation .cooperation ,sound environmental attitudes at all levels, good governance, gender equity , respect to positive local values and beliefs and consideration of environmental rights in their broader spectrum . We look for Sudan enjoying a safe and healthy environment, achieving sustainable development and lasting peace.

SECS is a Civil Society Organization & it slogan :'' Commitment to future generations'' summarizes rather accurately its development approach and main concerns . The pledge to future generation is consistent with its action on environmental degradation and children. It is significance seems to resonate well with youths in Kosti .A good numbers of its active members are young people from different backgrounds .These include university student doing their research on environmental and health issues under the auspices of KB.

SECS KB has healthy relationship with public to meet our goal (conservation of Environment through community participation to achieve sustainable development . SECS KB through its lobbing and advocacy program and techniques has the ability to influence social and political issues and to raise fund to solve vital environmental problems .

SECS ( KB ) has its own plan of Monitoring and Evaluation Supported by Oxfam Canada System and SECS head Quarter .

 SECS ( KB ) has its own indicators with regard to different projects . Its periodical reports to donors and SECS HQ & HAC White Nile State . As well as WFP ( Kosti Branch ) .

Legal Status : We attach a copy of the Certificate of registration renewable annually . Auditor Report : A copy is attached for previous year 2006 – 2007 prepared by an authorized Auditor ( Fees paid )
